Tires & Wheels for Cars, Trucks & Diesels
Spencer’s Auto & Diesel sells and installs new tires and wheels for cars, SUVs, pickups and light-duty diesel trucks at our shop on NE 2nd Ave in Ocala. Tell us how you drive, and we’ll match you with the right tire for it, mount it, balance it and send you out on a vehicle that tracks straight.
Buy a set of four and we include a free wheel alignment, because a crooked front end eats new tread fast. Leveling your truck at the same time? Pair the new tires with a leveling kit and we’ll size everything to the new stance in one visit.

New Tires or New Wheels, Done Right
New Tire Installation
- Help choosing the right size, load rating and tread type
- Mount and balance each tire on your wheels
- New valve stems or TPMS service kits
- Set pressures to the spec on your door jamb sticker
- Old tires disposed of for you
- Free alignment when you buy a set of 4
New Wheels
- Fitment check: bolt pattern, offset and load rating
- Tires mounted and balanced on the new wheels
- TPMS sensors moved over or replaced so the warning light stays off
- Lug nuts torqued to spec
- Clearance check at full steering lock
Not sure what size you run? It’s printed on the tire sidewall and on the sticker in your driver’s door jamb.
Signs It’s Time for New Tires
- Tread at 2/32 inch or lessThat’s the point where a tire is worn out. Quick check: put a penny in the tread, Lincoln’s head down. See his whole head? Time for tires.
- Tread level with the wear barsThe raised bars across the grooves show up flush with the tread when there’s nothing left to give.
- Cracks, bulges or cutsSidewall damage can’t be patched safely. A bulge means the tire’s structure is already failing.
- Uneven or cupped wearOne edge worn down or a scalloped feel usually means alignment or suspension trouble too.
- Tires six or more years oldRubber ages even with good tread, and Florida heat doesn’t help. The last four digits of the DOT code show the week and year it was made.
- A vibration that won’t go awayIf balancing doesn’t fix it, a tire with a broken belt or flat spot may be the cause.
All-Season Tires
The right call for most daily drivers around Ocala. A good all-season tire grips in summer downpours, runs quiet on the highway and wears evenly for tens of thousands of miles.
All-Terrain Truck Tires
For pickups that split time between pavement, dirt roads, pastures and boat ramps. All-terrain tires add bite off road without making your truck drone at 70 mph like a mud tire would.
Light Truck & Diesel Tires
Three-quarter-ton and one-ton diesels need LT tires with the load rating the manufacturer calls for, often Load Range E. We work on Power Stroke, Duramax and Cummins trucks every day as part of our diesel repair work, so we know what these trucks carry and tow.
Custom Wheels
Want a new look? We’ll check bolt pattern, offset and clearance before anything gets mounted, so your new wheels fit right and don’t rub. Wheels and tires plus a leveling kit is the most common truck upgrade we see.

How to Read Your Tire Size
Every tire has its size printed on the sidewall. Here’s what a common heavy-duty truck size means.
| Part of the size | Example: LT275/70R18 125/122S | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| LT | LT | Light truck tire, built for heavier loads and towing |
| Width | 275 | Tire width in millimeters |
| Aspect ratio | 70 | Sidewall height as a percent of the width |
| Construction | R | Radial construction |
| Wheel size | 18 | Fits an 18 inch wheel |
| Load index | 125/122 | How much weight each tire can carry, single and dual rear |
| Speed rating | S | Highest sustained speed the tire is rated for |
Your vehicle’s correct size, load rating and pressure are on the sticker in the driver’s door jamb. Trucks that tow or haul should stay at the load rating the manufacturer calls for.
